AI in Education: A Glimpse Behind the Curtain - A Yeovil College Special
Today, we had the privilege of delivering two back-to-back AI sessions to over 200 educators and staff at Yeovil College — and the energy in the room was electric.
These sessions are part of a specialist CPD programme we’ve developed specifically for the education sector. Designed to be practical, strategic, and future-ready, they offer hands-on experience with the tools that are quietly (but rapidly) reshaping how we teach, plan, research, and collaborate.

AI Isn’t Coming — It’s Already Here
The focus of our sessions? Showing how AI can help real educators do real work faster, better, and more creatively — without the hype or the overwhelm.

We didn’t just talk about AI — we used it. From Microsoft Copilot to interactive planning tools like Notebook LM and Perplexity, we explored how these platforms can support everything from lesson planning to podcast creation, from process mapping to collaborative learning.
But we’re not giving away all the good stuff here.

Why We’re Keeping the Details Tight
The full session is part of a professional development offering designed specifically for education providers — and we’re proud to be helping shape that journey. We’ve spent months fine-tuning this content to meet the needs of educators on the frontlines of change.
It’s exciting to see education grabbing AI by the horns — not with fear, but with curiosity and courage. And more importantly, with a clear intention: to equip the next generation with the skills and mindset they’ll need to thrive in an AI-enhanced world.

What’s Next
We’re continuing to work with colleges, schools, and trusts across the South West (and beyond), offering tailored CPD and AI integration support for staff at every level — from curriculum to operations.
If you’re an educator, leader, or part of a learning institution that’s ready to explore what’s possible with AI — we’d love to talk.
Because the future isn’t just being written by AI.
It’s being written by the people who know how to use it well.
