Introducing The AI Advent Series: Five Weeks of Practical AI Insights
A New Kind of Countdown
We’re heading into that time of year where everything speeds up and slows down at the same time. Deadlines, planning for next year, the last big push before the holidays, and then — finally — a much-needed pause.
It felt like the perfect moment to share something meaningful.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve had conversations that really made me stop and reflect on how much the world of work is changing because of AI. One interview in particular sparked something unexpected. As I answered questions about real use cases, resistance, skills, ethics, and long-term impact, I realised just how many insights we’ve gathered across our teaching, mentoring, and consultancy work this year.
Insights that rarely appear in headlines. Insights that people tell us they’ve been missing. Insights that genuinely help.
So we’ve turned those conversations into a new project.
Welcome to The AI Advent Series.
What You Can Expect
Over the next five weeks, we’ll be sharing a new article each week covering the themes that keep coming up in our work. Each piece is practical, grounded, and based on real experience rather than hype or speculation.
Here’s what’s coming:
- How AI saves time without cutting corners
- Why resistance to AI is normal, and how to address it
- The real impact on skills and low-satisfaction jobs
- AI as a life skill, proven by 100+ learners
- Why AGI fears are mismatched with reality
- Human in the loop, and the ethics of decision-making
- My workflow for rapid content creation with integrity
- And finally: Why learning AI skills now matters more than ever
Think of it as a practical, calm, and realistic countdown to Christmas. A chance to explore what AI actually means for real people doing real work.
Why We’re Sharing This Now
The last year has been full of noise. Every tool looks groundbreaking. Every headline is sensational. Every discussion swings between excitement and fear.
But underneath the noise, something far more important is happening.
People are beginning to ask better questions:
- How should we use AI?
- Where does human judgement fit?
- What skills do we actually need?
- How do we keep our integrity intact?
- What’s realistic?
- What’s hype?
- What’s possible for me, in my role, in my business?
This series is our way of helping answer those questions. Not in theory, but through the real stories, challenges, and successes we see every day.

Let’s Make This Useful
My hope is that this series gives you clarity and confidence at a time when a lot of people feel overwhelmed by AI. Whether you’re curious, cautious, excited, or just trying to catch up, I think you’ll find something here that helps you make sense of what’s changing.
The first article will be out very soon. I’d love for you to read it, share your thoughts, and join the discussion.
Let’s explore what’s possible — and what’s realistic — together.
