TECHOSAURUS® wins two awards at the Tech South West Awards – and what it means for us as an EdTech provider

Winning Best EdTech Provider and the Somerset Cluster Award at the Tech South West Awards 2025 is a milestone moment for TECHOSAURUS® - not just because of the trophies, but because of what they represent.

For us, these awards aren’t simply recognition of the work we’ve done since launching in 2023. They’re a clear signal that the South West believes in our mission: making technology accessible, practical and confidence-building for people at every stage of their digital journey.

What the EdTech Award means

The EdTech Award reflects the heart of what we do - designing learning that works for real people in real contexts. Our Generative AI Skills Bootcamp, hands-on workshops and specialist training are built to remove barriers, not create them. Winning this category reinforces that our approach resonates across the region: practical skills, built on strong pedagogy, delivered in a way that empowers rather than overwhelms.

It’s also affirmation that small, community-driven EdTech providers can lead meaningful innovation. We’re not here to add more noise to the tech landscape. We’re here to give people the tools and confidence to evolve their skills, their businesses and their futures.

What the Somerset Cluster Award means

Being recognised through the Somerset Cluster Award - nominated by Yeovil Digital Hub — is particularly special. Everything we do is deeply rooted in community. The Hub has become a place where learning, collaboration and local support come together, and we’re proud to play a role in strengthening that ecosystem.

This award acknowledges the hours spent with local businesses, educators and solopreneurs. It reflects the conversations, the workshops, the problem-solving sessions, and the steady effort to help people navigate digital change with confidence.

Most importantly, it shows what can happen when a community pulls in the same direction. Yeovil and the wider South West tech community have shown us that collective progress is not only possible but already happening.

Why these awards matter

Awards don’t define us, but they do give us momentum. They help people see what we’re building. They help open doors so we can support more learners and more organisations. And they reinforce a message we share often: technology should work for you, not the other way around.

As we move into the next phase of our work - expanding our support into AI-driven automation and continuing to grow our education offering - these awards fuel our belief that we’re on the right track.

We’re grateful. We’re energised. And we’re nowhere near finished.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, cheered for us, and trusted us to help them develop new skills. These awards may have our name on them, but they belong to our whole community.
